The most prestigious awards show in Nigerian entertainment will not hold this year, but will be back in March next year. The Headies held annually in March before being moved to December in recent times. According to founder Ayo Animashaun, the move back to March is to reflect the current realities of Nigerian Entertainment and also adequately accommodate more music material. ‘Based on the schedule of releases and availability of talent, the committee has decided the best period to host our awards in March’, he said.
The four new categories are Headies Viewers Choice, Industry Brand Supporter, Best Performer and Best Song Writer.
