Ronaldo has frowned at the high-profile transfer of his countryman, Neymar to PSG which he believes is not competitive.
Brazilian football legend, Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima has criticized the world record move of his fellow countryman, Neymar to Paris-Saint-Germain from Barcelona.
Ronaldo believes the 25-year-old switch from the Catalan club to the French giants is a step backward for the former Santos striker.
Neymar completed a world record move to PSG from Barca last year, August.
”Sportingly, the decision for Neymar to have joined PSG is a step back, but there are challenges that everyone seeks.
“I played in Barcelona at the time and went to Inter when the Italian championship was much more competitive,” Ronaldo was quoted to have said to Zico by Dailymail.
Neymar has been impressive since joining the Parisians from Barca.
The forward has scored 20 goals in all competitions for his club.
