A young Nigerian man, Ibarakumo Otobotekere has expressed happiness after being appointed as a commissioner by Governor Henry Seriake Dickson.

Jubilation erupted in Bayelsa state after Governor Henry Seriake Dickson, appointed a 33-year-old Ibarakumo Otobotekere, from Tombia community, Ekpetiama clan, Bayelsa state, as Youth commissioner.
Otobotekere popularly called Otobo was born on the 27th of May 1984. Otobo until his appointment was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Bayelsa Volunteers, and will be the youngest commissioner appointed in the executive council since Bayelsa State was created over 21 years.
A youth leader from Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the State, Hon Ogidi Ben Bara, has commended the action of the Governor.
He said: “We the young people in Bayelsa State have keenly watched the restoration government led by Governor Seriake Dickson, and we are happy with the way our governor has been carrying the youths along in his government by appointing them in vital positions and many young Bayelsans have empowered in different areas.
“I want to appreciate and commend the governor for appointing one of our youths, Hon Ibarakumo Otobo as commissioner nominee and soon will be given portfolio. It is highly commended because the governor believes in the potentials of young people and in his wisdom appointed Ibarakumo.
“I thank governor Dickson for fulfilling his campaign promises by injecting a young and vibrant youth into the executive council.
“Ibarakumo will be the youngest commissioner ever appointed in the history of Bayelsa State, and that record is created by the ‘Country Man Governor’. We see more of these appointments coming.”
